Make Every Dollar Work Harder for Your Mission

Nonprofit leadership requires consensus, risk aversion, and measurable fiscal clarity. Our engineering protocols are formulated to withstand board scrutiny.

01

Reduce Operating Expenses

Electricity is an ongoing expense that can limit the resources available for your mission. By generating power on-site, your organization may reduce its utility costs and redirect savings toward educational programs, community services, facility improvements, and other essential initiatives.

02

Strengthen Long-Term Financial Planning

Solar can help reduce your organization's exposure to future electricity price increases and provide greater visibility into long-term energy expenses. With property-specific production estimates and financial projections, your leadership can evaluate potential savings and make more informed budget decisions.

03

Demonstrate Responsible Stewardship

Investing in solar can demonstrate your organization's commitment to managing resources responsibly while reducing its environmental impact. Share measurable energy performance with board members, donors, students, congregation members, and the communities you serve.

A clear path forward

A seamless 5-step transition for nonprofits

From first review through commissioning, we keep your team informed and the project organized around your facility's needs.

  1. 01

    Energy Audit

We begin with a detailed assessment of your current energy consumption, operating hours, equipment, machinery, tools, electrical loads, and overall electrical infrastructure. This allows us to understand where, when, and how your facility uses energy and identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency.

  2. 02

    Energy & FinancialProposal

Based on the audit, we develop a tailored energy strategy for your business. We present opportunities to improve energy efficiency, reduce operating costs, and optimize consumption, together with the technical and financial proposal for your on-site energy generation system.

  3. 03

    Agreement & Scope of Work

Once the project is approved, we define the complete scope of work, project schedule, equipment, engineering requirements, responsibilities, installation milestones, and technical details needed to move into execution.

  4. 04

    Installation

Our team coordinates procurement, logistics, permitting, electrical work, system installation, and quality control. Every stage is managed to minimize disruption to your operations while ensuring the project is installed according to the approved engineering design and applicable requirements.

  5. 05

    Commissioning & Operation

Once installation is complete, we perform final testing, inspections, utility coordination, and system commissioning. We verify that the system is operating as designed, activate monitoring, and provide the information your team needs to understand and track its energy performance.

Frequently Addressed Board Inquiries

How does a 501(c)(3) claim the 30% solar tax credit if we pay no income taxes?

Eligible tax-exempt entities may be able to use Elective Pay under Section 6417. In the Muslim Academy of Greater Orlando financial model, the report estimates a 40% payment based on a 30% base credit and a modeled 10% domestic-content bonus. Eligibility, bonus qualification, timing, and payment amount are subject to IRS rules and review; this project estimate is not a guarantee or tax advice.

How do we present this to our congregation or school board for approval?

We provide a standardized Board Presentation Package consisting of a 15-minute executive deck, multi-scenario financial cash-flow projections, roofing engineering certifications, and 3D architectural renders. A senior Radiant Energy technical representative can also attend your board or congregation meeting in person or by video conference to address technical and financial questions.

Will installing solar void our campus roof warranties?

No. Before installation begins, our structural engineering team reviews your existing roof manufacturer warranty, whether TPO, standing-seam metal, or architectural tile. We coordinate with manufacturer technical representatives and use approved non-penetrating ballasted mounts or certified manufacturer-approved stanchions to keep your 20–30-year roofing warranty active.

Can an organization go solar with zero upfront capital outlay?

Yes. Through specialized nonprofit Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) programs, an institutional green-capital partner can pay for the design, hardware, and installation. Your facility purchases the clean electricity produced by the rooftop system at a predetermined rate designed to be below the utility’s retail tariff.
